Understanding Warts
Warts are small, rough growths that appear on the skin, usually on the hands and feet. They are caused by viruses from the human papillomavirus (HPV) family. There are several types of warts, including common warts, plantar warts, flat warts, and genital warts. While generally harmless, warts can be unsightly and sometimes painful. They are contagious and can spread to other parts of the body or to other people.
